Voice
Heather R. Karwowski is a dynamic soprano who has performed leading roles in “L’enfant et les Sortileges”, “The Magic Flute”, “Hansel and Gretel”,” Don Giovanni”, and “Carousel”. She has also performed scenes, roles, and understudied roles from operas: “Postcard from Morocco”, “Dialogues of the Carmelites”, “Suor Angelica”, “Die Fledermaus”, and “Der Rosenkavalier” with Boston University Opera Theatre as well as at SongFest in Malibu, Calif. As a student, she was coached and performed in master classes with Martin Katz, Graham Johnson, Paul Sperry, Earle Patriarco, and Kari Windingstad. She currently studies voice with Dr. Jerrold Pope.
In 2006 Heather won the American Educators of Italian Origin Unite Opera Scholarship and was a Western Regional Semi-Finalist in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. She performed on “The Jay Leno Show” with film composer John Debney in 2005″.” In addition to singing, Heather is an accomplished flutist who formerly studied with Los Angeles Opera Principal flutist Gary Woodward from the University of Southern California. She received a Master of Music degree from Boston University in Vocal Performance with scholarship and a Bachelor of Music degree Magna Cum Laude in Vocal Performance with scholarship from Biola University.
