Instruments

Camp.groove provides students with the opportunity for study on guitar, bass, drums, voice, and piano. Other instruments may be accepted by request. Each student will learn from highly qualified teachers and performers on their respective instrument. It is our goal at camp.groove to provide students with an environment that is conducive towards exploration, and the opportunity to experience real world performance opportunities.

Beginners are welcome at camp.groove. Electric guitar and bass players should bring their instrument, a small practice amp, and a cable. Keyboardists and vocalists will have equipment provided on campus. Drummers should bring a pair of sticks.

Electric Guitar

Beginning guitarists will learn rhythmic guitar playing. Supporting solo instruments in a band setting, and keeping a consistent rhythm.

Advanced guitarists will work on soloing techniques, advanced chords, and scales.

Guitarists are asked to bring their instrument, a small practice amp, and a cable

Bass

Beginning bassists will learn basic rhythmic bass lines and how to support soling instruments

Advanced bassists will learn slapping techniques, walking bass, and soloing techniques.

Keyboard
Keyboardists will learn how to solo in a band, to support the lead player, and how to adapt to rock music situations.

Voice

Vocalists will study vocal techniques such as how to properly use a microphone, to keep time with a band, and proper breathing techniques.

Drums

Drummers will learn rhythmic grooves. How to play in the pocket, to support a band, and soloing/fill techniques.
